A PLACE FOR YOU
Volunteers are a valuable part of the services the Epilepsy Foundation of Florida provides the community. Our flexible Navigator Volunteer program welcomes people from the six regions in Florida we currently serve; Miami-Dade, Broward, West Palm Beach, Jacksonville, Gainesville and Pensacola. We’ve got a place for you that will meet your schedule and geographic preferences. There are several ways you can give your time, talents and experience. Some of the ways include:
- Train to be a Certified Navigator
- Navigate Consumers and their families
- Community Outreach and Education
- Calling and Confirming Appointments
- Assist at Tabling and Canvassing Events
- Presentations and Workshops
- Data Entry, Analysis and Collection
- Assist with Navigation Team reporting Criteria
- Assist with Social Media
The EFOF Navigator Program gives volunteers specialized training to develop skills they’ll need to work with diverse populations of people needing assistance to enroll in healthcare plans. Volunteers choosing administrative and other support receive an orientation and on the job training.
Each volunteer is free to choose how much time he or she would like to give. Volunteers usually work out a regular schedule of availability, but some prefer to be available to fill in as necessary.
FINDING YOUR NICHE AT EFOF
To explore volunteer opportunities, call the Navigator Program Manager at EFOF Headquarters (305) 670-4949 Ext 205 or email us at email@example.com with Navigator Volunteer and your region of choice on the subject line. After completing an application you’ll meet with a representative from the program to help you find your place.
